The Plant Manager is responsible for directing and managing all plant operations with overall responsibility for production, maintenance, quality and other related activities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include the following:

  • Schedules production to meet customer demand.
  • Coordinates plant activities with Production Supervisors to insure manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost effective manner.
  • Monitors plant performance for production and quality standards.
  • Provides direction and leadership to Production Supervision.
  • Effectively manages all assigned budgets accurately.
  • Maintains the 5S standards.
  • Understands and communicates the importance of good housekeeping and working in a safe manner.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Management or related field;
  • Minimum of 5 years plant / general management experience in a manufacturing environment and/or roll forming production experience. 

Mathematical Skills:  

  • The basic ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide multiple digit numbers. 
  • Basic understanding of geometry.

Reasoning Ability:    

  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding of written and/or verbal instructions. 
  • Ability to apply prior experience in to assist in problem solving situations.

Additional Skills/or Abilities:

  • Must have the ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization, including the customer on occasion.
  • Prior Knowledge and/or experience using MAS90 for scheduling production needs. 

Physical Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand and sit.  The employee is regularly required to use hands to feel or handle tools, objects and controls.  The employee is rarely required to lift or move up to 25 lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include peripheral vision, close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
